Read any good books lately? I have. I just finished a book called "The Ezekial Option" by Joel Rosenberg.
It is a spy novel that resembles a Tom Clancy meets Tim LaHaye plot.. Rosenberg, a messianic Jew, weaves
a thriller story around the prophecies in the Old Testament book of Ezekial. I know, your thinking,
"another Left Behind book". Nope. Even though the plot takes place in the "last days", it describes
the actions of two intelligence officers who stumble on a plot to destroy Israel. The pretext of the attack,
is weapons of mass destruction. The attackers reason that if the United States could oust Saddam Hussein
because he had WMD's then why can't they destroy Israel because it has nuclear weapons. The story
takes off and does not slow down, right up to the last page. You dont want to miss this book. It is a
story ripped from the headlines and will make you stop and think.

Saddam is dead. Hung by the neck until....... Do you feel safer now?
Did you feel safer when the President announced the end of hostilities?
How about when they caught "The Butcher of Baghdad" hiding in a hole in the ground.
Saddam is dead and nothing has changed. This is not a rant against capital punishment.
and this is not a rant against the war. I will leave that to others. This is just a statement of facts.
Fact. Saddam is dead. Did I say that already?
Fact. The turmoil continues.
Fact. People are still dieing.
Why?
Power vacuum.
Saddam was the reason we invaded Iraq. We were told he had weapons of mass destruction.
So we invaded, collapsed the government and brought down Saddam.
I have one question, where are the WMD's? We never found them.
Instead we created a power vacuum. With Saddam and his cronies out of the way, all the other
factions have made their play for power. The Sunni's fight the Shite. The Syrians, AlQiuda, Iran;
everyone fights the coalition troops, all want a piece of that oil rich sand dune. Saddam was a
murderer, "Butcher of Baghdad" is a very good name for him. He murdered thousands, ran the
country with an iron fist and defied any who questioned his behavior. We did the right thing, we
brought down a terrible dictator. But in the process was traded organized chaos for complete
chaos. I don't envy the ones charged with getting us out of this mess. We have a responsibility,
We collapsed the government which brought on the chaos. No we are not responsible for the
chaos, others are to blame for that but the coalition forces are the only thing standing between
hope and thousands more deaths. The U.S. has a selfish intent also.We need a stable, friendly
government in the area. But most of all, we need their oil. I hope we went into the country with
more noble reasons than oil. But whatever the reason, we are in it now. Four years have pasted,
3000 american dead, a country divided, our military stretched to its limits, I hope a stable Iraq is
worth it. I am not sure I feel safer. How about you?
